The use of biodigesters, in addition to allowing the production of biogas, offers enormous advantages for the transformation of waste: biofertilizer rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is produced, capable of competing with chemical fertilizers, which are more expensive and harm the environment.
A liquid by-product can also be obtained, called biofertilizer (Biol), which can be used as a fertilizer since it is rich in high levels of inorganic nitrates (NO3), potassium (K) and phosphorus (P).
